75% of our employees say Heathrow is a great place to work by 2020.

Performance:  64% of employees would recommend a friend to work at Heathrow in 2012 and 2013 (from employee engagement survey)



Continue to support the health and wellbeing of our employees  

Performance: We’ve seen a year on year reduction in absence rates from 9.72 average days per employee in 2012 to 9.48 in 2013.


Respect and value equality, diversity and inclusion

Performance: The number of Heathrow employees from black and minority ethnic backgrounds and employee gender balance was above UK average in 2013



Enhance Heathrow's position as an employer of choice

Performance: 24%  of new recruits to Heathrow in 2013 were from the local community



Continuously improve employee engagement

Performance: The proportion of employees who feel that “the work of my team is helping make every journey better” increased from 71% in 2012 to 72% in 2013.



Build organisational capability through the continuous development of our people

Performance: 99% of employees have received performance reviews over the past two years.
