Airside Operations

The Head of Airfield is responsible for the ensuring the operational effectiveness of the aerodrome licence, will deputise for the aerodrome licence-holder in their absence, and is empowered on behalf of the licence-holder to actively ensure that all aerodrome licensees adhere to airside regulatory requirements.

It’s about providing inspirational, proactive leadership to the Airside Operations Team including the Stand Allocation Unit, Airside Transport Services and Airside Facilities in the Airside Business Unit, managing the team to give a great experience for all our customers, and ensuring that airside operations comply with company and regulatory requirements, including our Managing Responsibly system, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) safety regulations and Department for Transport (DfT) directives.
