Commuting by Heathrow Express

Heathrow Express offers the fastest journey between the airport and central London.

Non-stop trains run every 15 minutes and the journey between Heathrow Central and London Paddington takes 15 minutes (a few minutes more for Terminals 4 or 5).

Travel in comfort on modern trains with air-conditioning, plenty of baggage space, wi-fi and free TV. Your mobile phone will even work when the train is in a tunnel.

Do you need to work in peace or simply need to relax? If so every train has an exclusive Quiet Zone carriage.

Times and tickets

Trains run between 05:10 and 23:25 from Paddington, and between 05:07 and 23:42 from Heathrow.

Tickets can be bought on the internet, at the station or on board the train.

Buy a ticket

Discounted travel is also available on Heathrow Express through the Airport Travelcard scheme. A monthly ticket costs £160 and an annual ticket is £1,600.

Once you have purchased your Airport Travelcard there is a 50% discount for airport employees and you can save yourself time and money by purchasing a book of 10 Heathrow Express Carnet tickets at a cost of £77.50.

Where to catch trains

Heathrow Express trains stop at Heathrow Central (for Terminals 1, 2 and 3) and Heathrow Terminal 5. Passengers using Terminal 4 can transfer free to or from Heathrow Central using the Heathrow Connect shuttle.
