Flight status by SMS – Flying Messenger
Need flight updates on the move? Flying Messenger lets you check flights at Heathrow by text message (SMS).
How to use it
For an instant flight status update, text lhr (for Heathrow) plus your flight number to 82222.
So for example, if your flight number is ET710, your text should read: lhr et710.
You’ll receive a reply giving the current status of your flight.
When you can use it
This service is available up to 12 hours ahead of the flight's scheduled time, and for up to four hours after its arrival or departure at Heathrow.
Requests can only be sent on the scheduled date of the flight. If you need to set up an alert in advance you can use our Flying Messenger PLUS service.
What it costs
Flying Messenger costs 25p per request, plus any charge your network makes for a single text message. We don't charge for 'flight not found' or 'service unavailable' messages.
If you have a contract with a mobile operator, the charge will appear on your regular bill. If you use a pre-pay phone, your network operator will deduct the charge from your balance.
