Which airlines are moving in to Terminal 2, and when?

United Airlines began operating in Terminal 2 on opening day, 4 June 2014. In total 26 airlines will gradually move into the new terminal over a period of six months.

What are the transfer arrangements in Terminal 2?

Terminal 2 is located in the central terminal area between Terminals 1 and 3.

If you are connecting between Terminals, follow Flight Connections signs on arrival at Heathrow. If your connection is within Terminal 2, we estimate a connection time of 60 minutes. If you need to transfer to another terminal, this increases to 90 minutes. There are regular transfer buses between all of our terminals.

If you are travelling between terminals but not using the Flight Connections route, Terminal 1 can be accessed on foot using the link bridge. Terminal 3 is a 10-minute walk using the underground walkways. For Terminals 4 and 5, you can use the free Heathrow Express transfer service from Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 & 3 station. All routes will be clearly signposted.

Which Heathrow Express or Underground station do I use for Terminal 2?

Terminal 2 is in the Central Terminal Area. Please use the station marked Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 and 3.

Are there any smoking facilities in Terminal 2?

Smoking areas are available on the upper forecourt prior to going through security. There are no smoking areas after security.
