Early morning noise respite trial has ended
Heathrow developed a trial in conjunction with noise pressure group HACAN, NATS and BA in response to residents' concerns about disruption caused by flights arriving at Heathrow in the early morning.
The trial explored whether creating ‘noise relief zones’ for communities living under the flight path, could ease disturbance for residents at one of the most sensitive times of day. The trial began on 5 November 2012 and ended on 31 March 2013.
