Noise and track monitoring
Heathrow Airport operates the noise and track-keeping (NTK) system which takes radar data from air traffic control radars and combines it with flight information such as callsign, tail number, type and destination.
It captures data from both fixed and mobile noise monitors around the airport, to be matched to operational data. This data is used to provide infromation to the public, support our work with airlines and other stakeholders, and inform our noise strategy.
