Target 2008: To reduce Heathrow’s direct impact on carbon dioxide emissions by 3% against the business as usual forecast through improvements in energy efficiency.
Our objectives
- Continue our programme for behavioural change through campaigns and awareness raising across the airport
- Regular reviews of current performance of our existing assets and processes for continuous optimisation
- Development of our site energy and metering strategy to achieve significant reduction in our CO2 emissions
- Feasibility work looking at application of modern low carbon technologies in the medium-term.
