Heathrow is the UK’s only hub airport and an important economic asset. But today Heathrow is full and vulnerable to foreign competition.
London Underground
Heathrow is connected to central London by the Piccadilly line. There are two Underground stations, one serves Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and the other serves Terminal 4. The journey time to central London is approximately 50 minutes.
Both Heathrow underground stations have step free access to the platforms, however many other stations do not. If you are mobility impaired we recommend that you check your route beforehand with London Underground. Tactile and talking maps of the underground are available from London Transport's Unit for Disabled Passengers. For further information call London Underground on +44 (0)20 7222 5600 or visit www.thetube.com.
