Terminal 5 Republic of Ireland to Terminal 5 international

1. Welcome to Heathrow!

Your flight connection at Terminal 5 couldn't be simpler. Just follow the signs for arrivals, pick up your baggage, then make your way to departures and check in as normal for your onward flight.

2. Check in

It's just a short walk from arrivals to check-in at Terminal 5. The arrivals area is on the ground level. To reach check-in, simply take a lift or escalator to the departures level, on the top floor, and use any of the self-service kiosks or staffed check-in desks.

3. Security control

After check-in you need to pass through security control. You are advised to do this as early as possible to avoid any delay to your journey. That way you'll know exactly how long you have to relax in the departure lounge, and can enjoy the many shops, bars and cafes before going to your departure gate. There are security control points at either end of the departures level.
