Many people have contacted us to ask where the third runway will go. Below is a link to a map that shows the outer boundary of the third runway area.

This map is from our 2005 Masterplan document and is purely indicative – new, updated maps will be produced as part of the planning process.

At the moment, we don’t have any detailed information on what the new terminal will look like, or where flight paths and new roads might go. That information will be developed during the planning process - we will update this website as soon as new information becomes available. 

We will also be consulting with the local community throughout the planning process, so you will have a chance to make your views known and ask us questions.
