Community and Environment Awards – Small grants

The small grants awards are funded through foreign and British currency which is donated every day by passengers in Heathrow’s baggage halls and departure lounges. Heathrow and the BAA Communities Trust match-fund the money donated by passengers up to a cap of £30,000 per annum from each organisation. Based on our previous passenger collections we predict there will be around £100,000 available for the awards in 2009.
