Living or working very close to the airport
If you live or work right next to the airport, then you might hear some or all of these noises – take-offs, landings and planes moving around the airport itself.
You might even hear planes testing their engines on the ground – but this testing is very strictly limited and is confined to specific places on the airfield, called ‘ground run pens’.
On this website we tell you how we’re working to keep this noise to a minimum.
