Get the inside track on parking at Heathrow
Is it better to drive to Heathrow or go by mini-cab?
Here's what you need to know...
If you like the comfort of your own car, chances are you'd prefer to drive yourself to Heathrow over taking a mini-cab. With all the great pre-book rates you can find on parking at Heathrow, costs are usually the same or less to drive and park. And if it's convenience you're after, you'll find several quick and easy ways to leave your car right at your departure terminal - only moments from check-in.
Don't pay the drive-up rate
Advanced booking can save on almost every parking option at Heathrow - making the convenience of Short Stay, Meet and Greet or Valet parking all worth considering.
Short stay doesn't mean it
Short stay parking can be good for longer trips too when you book ahead (you can walk directly into the terminal, as little as 45 metres away).
Get the best of both worlds
Love driving but hate parking (and not too keen on mini-cabs)? With Valet Parking or Meet and Greet just drop off your car and head for your flight. Your car is parked safely for you - and is waiting for you when you get back, even if you fly into a different terminal.
It's all business
You can find great rates on business parking too. Frequent shuttles speed you to the terminal, just a 2-to-5 minute ride awa. If you use Terminal Five Pod parking wait till you try the automated on-demand pods.
Room for everyone
With 11 different official car parks at Heathrow, offering everything from Short Stay to Business and Long Stay, there's a car park to suit all needs. Our Long Stay car parks are also inside the airport perimeter, and on average only ten minutes from the terminals by frequent shuttle.
Safety and Security
Whether you drive yourself or take a mini-cab, remember:
- To always book a licensed mini-cab or use a firm you know
- That all official Heathrow car parks are well-lit, have 24 hour security and are within the airport perimeter
- Comprehensive CCTV protects your car while you are away
