Airlines operating from Terminal 2

Terminal 2 will be home to 23 Star Alliance member airlines as well as Aer Lingus Virgin Little Red and Germanwings.

Star Alliance

The Alliance’s 27 airlines have more than 4,000 aircraft and offer more than 21,000 daily flights to 1,329 destinations in 194 countries. The Star Alliance represents just over 20 per cent of Heathrow’s traffic and the first time, all Star Alliance member airlines will be under one roof. Terminal 2 gives Star Alliance the opportunity to enhance its seamless hub service with shorter connecting times between member airlines.

Aer Lingus

Aer Lingus has interline and codeshare partnerships with many of the Terminal 2 carriers and being located in closer proximity to them will create commercial opportunities for single-site hub connectivity to over 100 destinations worldwide.

Virgin Atlantic Little Red

The recently-launched Virgin Atlantic Little Red offers multiple daily flights to Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Manchester and will provide rapid connections for these domestic routes operate from Terminal 2.

Germanwings

Germanwings has direct routes to Cologne and Stuttgart and provides the German carrier with opportunities to connect with the Star Alliance’s network of routes.


Airlines and check-in zones at a glance

Four check-in zones (A, B, C and D) run through the waves from front to back. Each zone caters for a group of airlines as shown below. To help passengers find the right zone for their flight, the departures level of the terminal has plenty of signage.
